Hey there!
The Game Leaderboard system is getting a major overhaul on August 30 at 15:00 Pandanda Time. The old system separated weekly Leaderboard sessions from the overall monthly competition. With the update, these are being brought together into one weekly competition, making the system simpler and easier to follow.
What's New?
Weekly Leaderboards are now the main competition. A new session starts every Sunday at 15:00 PM Pandanda Time, when the previous week's Leaderboard ends and the winners are determined.
Line Four and Pen the Pig are joining Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill.
The scoring for Bunny Chase and Ghosts of Misty Hill has been revamped to focus on your overall performance across the rounds you play.
Line Four and Pen the Pig use a win-rate-based Score, taking wins, ties, and losses into account.
The previous weekly coin rewards have been removed, with the new reward system focusing on special items instead.
A new reward progression has been introduced. Your first win on each Leaderboard earns a medal for your player card and game-themed background, while your second win on that same Leaderboard earns a special reward for that game.
If a player has already earned all rewards from a particular Leaderboard, they can no longer receive those rewards from that Leaderboard. If they finish in 1st place again, a reward is instead given to the highest-ranked player who is still eligible, while the returning winner receives 5,000 coins.
Players must meet the required number of games or rounds to qualify for the weekly Leaderboard.
If you won during the original Leaderboard release, don't worry - all rewards you previously earned will remain yours. The previous system was a separate, longer-running competition, so those rewards will not be affected by the update.
The goal is to make the Leaderboard simpler, more consistent, and more rewarding, while giving more players a chance to earn the special rewards.
